About Me
Kia Ora
Here's a little about me and where Studio Blue started...
My background includes visual merchandising, event management, graphic and web design and sign writing. After fifteen years working for a large corporate company, I decided to focus on my passion for Art and Design, and develop my own business. Studio Blue NZ Ltd. was first launched in early 2013 offering a freelance website design and online marketing service to franchise businesses.
In 2016 I completed a Diploma in Computer Graphic Design at ACG Yoobee School of Design. Following that and keen for a new challenge, I took on two part time roles (Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant at a North Canterbury winery, and Communications Manager for a nationwide fashion retailer) as well as continuing to support a variety of independent clients as a freelance designer.
After relocating to Kaikōura in early 2018, I worked for a local retail business, and started building relationships and promoting my services within the local community. In 2020 I decided it was time to focus on my own business, and over the past four years Studio Blue Kaikōura has evolved into what it is today.

My Mission
Enjoying the “happiness of being busy”
While I work full time creating branding and websites in my office/studio, I make sure I allow myself time to pursue my other passions, which include painting, craft and DIY. I love coastal life and a lot of my work is inspired by the beach and the ocean.
As an independent Web and Graphic Designer I'm fortunate to deal with a range of clients, and do lots of cool stuff. Whether it's a simple project like creating a flyer, to a complete brand identity and website package, it's my goal to see a happy, satisfied customer at the end.
Making time for my family is also super important, which is why I try to avoid working during the weekends. It's all about that work/life balance!
